About Maroochydore Roos AFC

Maroochydore Australian Football Club was formed in 1970 and originally was located on land along Wises Road, until it was sold by council and moved to it’s current community facilities which are shared with Maroochydore Junior AFC, the Rayners (Masters), the Sunshine Coast AFL and the Sunshine Coast Netball Association.

The Roos inherit a strong and proud tradition as one of the most successful and feared clubs on the Sunshine Coast over its 40+ year history. They won 11 of 16 premierships during the 80’s & 90’s, and have represented in various incarnations of the Sunshine Coast Football League, as well as the Brisbane Australian Football League / AFLQ / SEQAFL.

We enjoy a reputation of being fierce competitors on the field that never stop until the siren has blown, with an unwavering loyalty to our club, teammates, and the jumper.

Maroochydore AFC is very fortunate to have a passionate and committed group of past players that make up the Past Roos Association. Their regular presence at the Club and their support financially of the players and Club as a whole is truly wonderful and appreciated.
