Zac Carlson Spinal Injury Fund

Tragedy struck one of our talented 21 year old players just before Christmas 2018. Zach, son of ex-Brisbane Bears player and Club volunteer, Darren Carlson, fell from a tree & suffered a severe spinal injury rendering him a paraplegic. He had just successfully completed his rehab from an ACL injury in 2017 playing with the Senior Men. A GoFundMe page was set up to assist Zach and his family with the costs of such rehab and it is great to report that Zac finally went home in time for Christmas after 10 weeks in hospital and is doing really well. The playing group gave Zach his signed Roos jersey and his beloved Adelaide Crows provided a special signed jersey as well.
