Roos Patron
- Kingsley St Clair – ~ Patron of the Maroochydore Roos AFC Inc ~
The Maroochydore Senior Club is very thrilled to announce that Kingsley St Clair has agreed to be their Patron for 2017. Kingsley’s extensive history with the Club, dating back to his time as a member/committee man in 1982/83, has seen him take on many roles. In 1983 he was the U18 coach, in 1984 he became Vice President and then in 1986 was President of the Club. Kingsley presided over the Roo’s 6 out of 6 premierships on the ONE day; a feat that will never be achieved again. From 1988 – 1991 Kingsley held many Sunshine Coast League leadership roles from VP t
o President and eventually Director of the League. In 1992 he became the VP of the QLD Country League and then went on to become President, a position which he held from 1995 -2000.
In 1996, after more than 20 years of leadership in Community Football, Kingsley became the AFLQ Director and VP of the QLD Australian Football League.
Kingsley’s calm, quiet and gentle manner means many would not know the incredible generosity and passion he has for our football Club. We thank you Kingsley for your contribution and look forward to many more years of your involvement at the Roos.
