Maroochydore Roos Legend Clocks Up 200 Games

Dual Premiership Maroochydore player Greg Stirton is still playing great footy, even at 32 years of age. The towering agile ruckman will play his 200th senior game this Saturday, 8th June, at home against local rivals Caloundra. Game starts at 2pm.

“Stirto” as he is affectionately known, is hoping for his 3rd Premiership in a row this year to add to his fantastic football career. He doesn’t look like slowing down at all and according to coach, Andrew Cadzow, “he forgets how old he is”.

The Roos are thrilled to be able to celebrate this milestone with Greg and are so grateful for his loyal service to the Club, says Operations Manager, Lisa Daldy. “He loves this Club maybe just slightly more than his beloved Melbourne Demons and we are so happy for him.”
