Carter Michael, Maroochydore Senior Player and previously Junior Player was successful in the Rookie Draft for the Brisbane Lions in 2021. Following in the footsteps of another Roos junior/senior player, Noah Cumberland, who was drafted to Richmond in 2020. In a devastating blow, Noah ruptured his ACL in the pre-season for the Tigers but has put in a tough year of rehab and is ready to grab his chance with both hands. A huge congratulations to both boys who fully deserve their opportunities to follow their dream of playing AFL at the highest level.

Roos Junior player and Seniors Rising Star in 2020, Jai Larkins, has been recruited to Norwood Football Club in the SANFL for 2021. Jai had a terrific season in the QAFL on the back of a stellar season with the NEAFL’s Redlands the year before and is off to Adelaide following in the footsteps of his AFL Dad, Trevor. We wish Jai all the best in his new club.
